                               Saul Salmeron, LMFT
                                 Licensed Marriage and Family  Therapist
                                 Bilingual English/Spanish

I have worked in several clinical settings and have been fortunate to have

the opportunity to help children, adolescents, adults, and couples to

manage  a variety of issues. At this point I am most passionate about helping

college students and young adults to discover their purpose and work

through the many challenges that can occur at this important transitional stage of life. My other focus is on helping couples in difficult relationships to find healing and reconciliation while learning skills to communicate more effectively. I particularly enjoy working with younger couples who are learning and growing together, figuring out healthy ways to blend their lives together.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and have had the pleasure of providing services

for those who often may struggle to find an experienced clinician who understands their language, culture, and traditions. Clients have sought my assistance for my ability to seamlessly work with multigenerational families with varying language preferences, as well as biracial/bicultural couples who struggle to communicate and effectively accommodate each other’s traditions and expectations.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University, and hold a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition to helping individuals and couples in my private practice work, I am an ordained pastor and enjoy speaking at local churches and other organizations to increase mental health awareness and reduce stigma around getting help for common psychological and relational concerns faced by the average person. I would not say that I have a preference for working with religious clients vs non-religious clients. I have simply found that many of my religious clients have appreciated having a therapist that accepts and appreciates their diverse experiences as spiritually oriented individuals.

I also serve as an adjunct professor at California Baptist University, teaching in the MS in Counseling Psychology Program. I enjoy being able to bring my passion for helping others to the classroom, where I get to inspire up-and-coming therapists to find their calling in the helping professions and pass along the knowledge that past supervisors, mentors, and clients have graciously bestowed upon me over the years.

When not helping couples and young adults to find new directions and perspectives, I look forward to spending time with my wife and son. We especially enjoy cheering on our favorite football club, the LA Galaxy (Sorry LAFC fans-I’m happy to work with you too…a little friendly football debate can be fun and healthy!). I also enjoy playing a bit of music in my spare time, and sometimes will “slappa da bass” (any other Paul Rudd fans out there?) with my local church band.

I look forward to talking with you and figuring out how we might start working toward getting your life back on a path that brings you joy and satisfaction. Please feel free to call, text, or email me with any questions. You can also fill out the contact form and select my name and I will reach out to you directly.
